A Rocket To The Moon – On Your Side

With the likes of 3OH!3, The Cab and The Maine among many on their side, A Rocket To The Moon is set to release their debut label-backed full-length On Your Side. And if you’re a fan of infectious pop music – A Rocket To The Moon is on your side with this one.

On Your Side is typical A Rocket To The Moon – well-crafted pop laced with hooks all over the 12-song album. Most, if not all, of the songs deal with one or more aspects of love and girls.

The band took a creative approach to the record by pinning the title characters of Annabelle and the previously established fan-favorite Dakota against each other. Both take the role of love interests, but Dakota represents everything that we love about love while Annabelle’s songs deal with relationship hardship and the less-than-perfect side of the topic.

A Rocket To The Moon delivers their pop prowess over and over again throughout On Your Side. Tracks like “Like We Used To,” “On A Lonely Night “and “Baby Blue Eyes” show vocalist Nick Santino’s love for a good love song – and his impeccable ability to create one himself. On the other hand, “Give A Damn” and “She’s Killing Me” make it well-known that he’s more than just a love-song connoisseur and can also see the other side of the spectrum.

The record as a whole shows Santino’s ability to craft a quality pop record and how far A Rocket To The Moon has come since he started it as a one-man band three years ago. Now, with the inception of two full time band members Eric Halvorsen and Brighten frontman Justin Richards and with The Receiving End Of Sirens drummer Andrew Cook joining full-time soon, A Rocket To The Moon has become more than your average pop-band.

On Your Side is sure to impress fans and new listeners alike, as A Rocket To The Moon has continued to do time and time again as they support some of pop music’s biggest acts. With their first headlining stint leading up to On Your Side’s release and an opening slot on Boys Like Girl’s fall tour, the band is soon to become a household name. With all of this coming their way, On Your Side is sure to make A Rocket To The Moon come full-circle… erm… moon.
